This video puts my thoughts, heart and desires for my children into powerful words. As a mom we go through extreme emotions. Sometimes I feel on top of the world, I laugh and giggle with my little ones, I have faith that I am a good mom and at other times I feel guilt that I am not doing enough, or am I doing the right thing? After watching this video I felt affirmed and inspired to be even more for them. At the the same time I think I also forgave some of my struggles and reminded me that the powerful love I have for them is enough…..

My family is very blessed to have our dear friend Pam in our lives. Pam has been caring for my children for four years since my son was a year old. She is the most amazing woman, mom, and friend. She cares for my children like they are her own and I trust her with their lives. Pam takes care of all of us helping with the meals, dealing with the witching hour tantrums, doing dishes, making up games, playing the same made up stories day after day, creating crafts, legos, kid snot and even diapering my children with cloth! Every birthday and holiday she pays special attention to the little things and brings my children gifts they treasure. She knits them spiderman hats, gorgeous flower hats, and even make Miss J barrettes.

Pam you are a gift to us and we are forever grateful for you. We love you!

Please Help a father grant his son, a soldier a Christmas Wish.

Today as one of my best friends Joe walked outside, his garbage man stopped as he does every wednesday morning. Joe waved hello, and the man walked over and said he had a favor to ask. He said that his son is serving in Afghanistan and when asked what he wanted for Christmas his son replied that all he wants is to walk around to his fellow soldiers and hand out morale-boosting letters on Christmas Day. So he asked me if Joe would write one letter. Joe immediately knew that this was bigger than just one letter. he made some calls to his friends and family asking them to write letters.

So we are asking you to help us. Please send an email to: dearhero2009@gmail.com. Your letter will be printed off and folded into an envelope and delivered to his son in Afghanistan by one of our friends. No postage required. Just an email.

Regardless of your politics or how you feel about any war, this is not about that. This is about a father trying to make his son’s Christmas wish come true.

We realize there are non-profit organizations that do this, and we fully support their incredible work. However this is just simply for a humble man to support his son who is thousands of miles away. He is expecting one letter on our porch next Wednesday morning. Let’s inundate him! Please send your email by Tuesday evening (November 24th) so we have time to print and stuff! And by all means, please forward this on to anyone you think might be interested in participating!

I am equally inspired by Jon’s Mom Diane. She is my husbands business partner and does her best to keep organized. That is of itself is a feat! LOL :) I can only imagine how much worry I would have if my child was battling an illness. Diane, I think the world of you and have deep respect for you as a business women, Mom and woman.

On Aug 3 2009 Jon had a cat-scan and blood work done. He and his Mom are happy to report that Jon is cancer free! As I write this it brings tears to my eyes. His story has touched my heart and reminds me of everything I have to be grateful for.

Please enjoy these senior pictures of an extraordinary, handsome young man.
