My nephew is here!
Posted on November 23, 2009
Just over two years ago, 4 days before my due date my mother inlaw took me to Natick mall with my son then 3yrs for a full day os shopping. We must have been there 8 hours, walking, shopping and carrying my son on my hip. I remember driving home just exhusted and fell asleep almost immediatly after getting home. I woke at 5 am the next morning with contractions and soon welcomed my little girl into the world.
My mother did it again, this time she took her daughter shopping. Just as they were paying for their last purchase, slippers for Kirsten, her contractions began! Kirsten was scheduled for a c-section next wednesday. My beautiful nephew and mother inlaw had their own plans. He made his way into the world saturday night at 9 Lbs 3 oz. and two weeks early.
Congratulations Kirsten and Andy!
Some picture from our visit to the hospital today. I can hardly wait for his newborn photography session!

If any women you know are looking to induce labor, just drop me an email and I will send over my mother inlaw Carol. She does it every time!

My very pregnant and beautiful sister in-law surprised me by knocking on my door this week. I was thrilled to see her and even more happy that I had 20 minuted before my phone would ring for a my next coaching call. I quickly grabbed my camera and took a few photos. Baby will be here in Wednesday! A true blessing to celebrate Thanksgiving. We are all so thrilled and can’t wait to meet your little bundle of love! Of course I am over the moon excited to photograph him!

Honor a Hero

Please Help a father grant his son, a soldier a Christmas Wish.
Today as one of my best friends Joe walked outside, his garbage man stopped as he does every wednesday morning. Joe waved hello, and the man walked over and said he had a favor to ask. He said that his son is serving in Afghanistan and when asked what he wanted for Christmas his son replied that all he wants is to walk around to his fellow soldiers and hand out morale-boosting letters on Christmas Day. So he asked me if Joe would write one letter. Joe immediately knew that this was bigger than just one letter. he made some calls to his friends and family asking them to write letters.
So we are asking you to help us. Please send an email to: dearhero2009@gmail.com. Your letter will be printed off and folded into an envelope and delivered to his son in Afghanistan by one of our friends. No postage required. Just an email.
Regardless of your politics or how you feel about any war, this is not about that. This is about a father trying to make his son’s Christmas wish come true.
We realize there are non-profit organizations that do this, and we fully support their incredible work. However this is just simply for a humble man to support his son who is thousands of miles away. He is expecting one letter on our porch next Wednesday morning. Let’s inundate him! Please send your email by Tuesday evening (November 24th) so we have time to print and stuff! And by all means, please forward this on to anyone you think might be interested in participating!

When my my good friend and neighbor asked me to photograph her children I jumped at the chance. We had a blast! We ran all over and took a ton of photos!

Thank you, Amy for being a great girlfriend to me. She is the kind of neighbor I call late at night for a good chat, giggles and a glass of wine. Sorry it took so long to post your photos. I hope they were worth the wait! xo
Happy Birthday baby girl
Posted on November 13, 2009
Two years ago today I awoke at 5 am and knew something had changed, I started having some contractions and knew I would meet my baby girl today. The birth of my first child 3 years before was very long and hard, after 18 hours of induced, hard labor I needed a C section. We took our little guy A to my friend Amy’s home to hang with his best friend for the day and called the Doula ( Birth coach). I knew I wanted my next birth to be natural without intervention if posable which lead my husband I to the decision of a home birth with a midwife. Our home was still being built and my Mother in-laws home was the next best option to give us the home birth experience we were wanting for our baby.
We arrived at Nanny and Papa’s where I was served a great breakfast and the contractions slowed down. Alphonso was working on getting our new home closed on time and taking many calls. I went for a walk and started to get discouraged that is was all happening so slow. Patience has never been a strength of mine. Around 1:00 pm I did some Hypnobirthing exercises. I was beating myself up a bit that I was wasting the Doula’s time because it looked like she wasn’t going to come today. At about 3 pm I decided to give that all up and don’t you know it the contractions started again. Alphonso called the midwife and she said she would make her way over. At 4:15 ish the contractions were coming strong! I got into the bath. I can’t believe how the birth just took over my body! I must admit there were times that I though I just couldn’t do it anymore. I remember the midwife saying she would be here soon and my crying HOW MUCH LONGER!!!???… my baby girl J came at 6:00 pm only 45 minutes after the midwife arrived. Birthing J naturally at home was one of the best experiences of my life.
Happy Birthday my angel, I love you

Yucky Swine flu
Posted on November 13, 2009
Good Morning, Just a quick note while my baby girl is sleeping. The last few weeks have been hard. We have been battling, coughs, colds, fevers and ear infections. Yesterday when we took Jayla back to the pediatrician she was tested and confirmed to have swine flu. I am going to do my best to take it easy this weekend. Please be patient and I will get back to everyone very soon!

This weekend I had the opportunity to photograph these little rock stars! We had a blast! I knew it would be a good shoot as soon as the family stepped out of the truck. Their clothes could be an example in my “what to wear guide!” You are seeing wardrobe change 2, believe me outfit number 1 was outstanding!
