Meet the A. Family-sturbridge family photographer
Posted on September 29, 2009
I had the opportunity to meet Kate and her wonderful family here in Sturbridge this past weekend. When I drove to her lake home I was amazed that I have walked by her home with my kids in the stroller hundreds of times. I had met her two dogs on my walk but never her beautiful children.
Miss P: Mom told be that P. was shy. What a laugh! This girl was so outgoing and fun to photograph. She loved the camera!
Mr. J: He is the cutest BIG guy. He is only 3 but you would never know it. J is tall just like Daddy. He is a little lover and snuggled with Mom during our session. I even received a few hugs!
Little Miss T: OH she is so cute! She loves to dance and run after big brother and sister. Miss T. is a Daddy’s girl. I cant wait to get her together with my J. they are the same age and I know they would have a blast together.

This little guy is funny, I teased him that he couldn’t sit in one place and he dropped to one knee and said “look at me! look at me!”

Thank you A. family for a beautiful day!

My sweet boy is five years old. How did he get to be such a big kid?
A few things about my guy A. He is in his third year at the Montessori school and loves going to school everyday. I must admit that his teachers do say he is “social.” Hmm just like Dad? A. has an imagination like no other. His fork becomes the savior of the universe most nights. He loves star wars! Any “guy”- action figure is his favorite toy. A. learned to ride his two wheeler bike last spring and rides like the wind. My boy lights up my world and I thank god for him everyday.
We celebrated his birthday this morning and he continued the celebration with ice cream at school. I worked with my life coaching clients most of the day, but I managed to snap a few pictures.

Ever feel like you’re not enough?
Posted on September 21, 2009
Today’s not my day… I am just feeling bad, not enough… My office is a mess, laundry needs to be done. my garage is a danger zone, clients need to be called, my website needs updating, little man A. had a bad day at school, I am feeling like a bad mom … Really I could go on. My list of upsets are not nearly complete. The life coach in me knows better but I am still suffering over it. For crying out loud I am a master trainer for Tony Robbins and I know I should just let it all go, but I am in pretty deep today. Writing this post is hard because I really do not want anyone to know that I do not have it all together.
Who am I kidding? I am not really hiding anything. I am sure my neighbors and friends could tell you all of my faults. I am sitting here in my office again past 11:00 pm wondering How do I have it all? How do I do all that I want to do, do it well and be the kind of mom I am committed to being? I am not sure why I am even writing this post other than I sat down to blog and this is what is coming out. OK. Maybe writting it and reading it back to myself is making me feel better.
What do you do when you do not feel enough? What do you do when you are feeling inadequate? I will tell you something the first thing I do is cry. And I have been doing that on and off all afternoon. Next, I write about it or journal (hence this post) and then I get around to doing something to feel better. Here are my goto strategies, a bath (yes I am one of those women that likes to soak) call a friend, take a walk, read a book, zone out in front of the TV and then I finally just get over it! I know I need to wake up in the morning do my morning ritual and all will be well. I will probably look at my blog in the morning and say ”what was I thinking?!”
This post is to all the women out there that are afraid they are not doing the right thing, feel overwhelmed at times and just not enough. I hear you. You are a beautiful, extraordinary women who doesn’t need to do anything other than just be you. I promise to go to bed focusing on that!
Thanks for listening today… I promise I will be better tomorrow!
Please leave a comment on the blog today, What do you do if you ever feel not enough? What do you do to feel better? What do you say to yourself or focus on that makes it all go away?
P.S. A nice glass of red wine and giggles with girlfriends would make me feel better. I wonder if my neighbor is still up. She is always up for a glass…

What I did last summer part 2-ma child photographer-Jayne Jewell
Posted on September 18, 2009
Shhh…. Today I turned on my heat. When my husband finds out I will be in trouble. This morning as I was working on my computer my hands were numb, I sat at my desk with a blanket wrapped around me. Now I admit I get cold easy but when I looked at my thermostat it was only 61 degrees in the house! I turned on the heat and thought today will be a great day to look back at photos of summer and warmer days.
As I wrote about in part 1 of what I did last summer we spent much of our time at home. Alphonso (husband) and I got a quote for a pool and sadly decided to wait on it this year. I did however talk him into a pool. He wasn’t happy about it, but we put it up in the yard. This pool looks awful in the yard. Its not pretty or elegant and is far from my vision of a beautiful backyard. I want a backyard like the ones you see created on HGTV. If a designer from one of the home shows showed up at my house they would tear it down without even taking a breath first. Yes, its pretty bad. I am going to take this opportunity to say I am sorry to my next door neighbor for having to look at it!
Having said all that I believe that this pool was the best $199 I spent all summer! The kids loved it! Everyday it wasn’t raining they were in the pool. My little guy A. who was not very comfortable in the water now jumps in head under and all.

We also installed a hot tub! OK not really. We do have a small kids pool that I filled with hot water. My mom friends think I am nuts for filling the pool with warm water. I have a hot water tap outside and use it to fill the pool and the kids love it! I must admit that before we moved into this house I used buckets that I carried from the kitchen with warm water to fill the kiddie pool. See.. I told you I hated being cold!

Last a a picture of the pool to really get a a visual of what my poor neighbor has to look at out her back windows.

I thought I would post a few more shots of the L. family for mom. This family is stunning! The kids were up for some fun so we climbed a tree! Little man P. did not want to come down. P. thought it would be a great idea to sleep in the tree but decided to come down when an ice cream sundae was offered. I though that was a great choice!

Mom was a great sport when I suggested that I boost her into the tree!

This past week I had the good fortune of photographing the L. family to prepare for the photo party that mom will be hosting in a few weeks. More on photo parties next week so stay tuned!
We had so much fun playing in their yard. Little Miss C. loves to pose. I couldn’t get enough of her. She would strike a pose and say “take this one!” I was lucky got any shots of her adorable little brother P. Here are a few images to tide Mom over until the gallery is posted.

L. family, more photos to come.
Enjoy!
